As a classic gray area drinker. I seemed to have it all together from the outside. A wonderful family, amazing group of friends and fulfillment in many areas of life. In the past couple years I had experienced some trauma in the form of personal loss and my body changing through menopause. Those pandemic years were rough and I started hitting the "F*ck It" button! My drinking was ramping up and the feelings it was leaving me with were unfamiliar and scary. I didn't recognize the woman looking at me in the mirror.
Giving up drinking was something I'd been curious about for years...maybe now was the time?

In August 2023, at a routine physical, I confided in my doctor. I admitted to her that I felt I was drinking too much and wasn't sure how to stop/cut back. My blood tests revealed high numbers across the board. Cholesterol, BP, A1C, weight and the highest liver enzymes I'd ever had. She suggested I make "drastic behavioral changes" or she would prescribe medication. She encouraged me to TRY to stop drinking and advised I follow up with her no later than 3 months. I was at a crossroad. Either continue down a road of destruction or pivot and head towards a life I've always dreamed about and KNEW deep down I could have if I would stop poisoning myself.

I decided to start LIVING
I got busy and in only THREE months completely reversed my awful health diagnoses. My cholesterol dropped FIFTY points, my A1C came down to below pre-diabetic level, my liver enzymes and blood pressure returned to normal range and I had lost 27 pounds!
I felt SO good that I decided to keep going. I haven't looked back since. Community is key and I am fortunate to be surrounded by some amazing people who have also chosen to remove alcohol from their lives. Together we are proving that we are totally and unequivocally BADASSES!
Today I help professional women transform their relationship with alcohol so they can live longer and healthier lives.

Becoming alcohol free released a passion in me to help others achieve the same results. It has opened my world to believe anything is possible once we stop medicating ourselves with alcohol.
